The clear material started as an alternate version of a silver cloth simulation. It became more useful when I stopped treating transparency as an effect and started treating it as a surface.

Transparency needs evidence. On a white background, clear plastic can disappear. Edges, small distortions, shadows, and printed ink show that a surface is present.

What stayed

The page structure does not change when the material changes. Silver and clear tape are two states of the same object. Navigation, project information, and contact details remain stable.

What changed

The tape uses high transmission, low roughness, and a small amount of surface damage. The printed name and barcode remain static. They move only when the material moves.

The result is not a product mock-up. It is an interface material: something between an index card, packaging, and a label.
